Who's Who

Anne_edited.jpg

The Parish is led by our Priest - in - Charge:
Rev Anne Wilkins.

I was licensed to Sawley parish in October 2023, after having moved from North Somerset. This year (2025) I will celebrate 30 years of ordained ministry in various parishes. I enjoy leading worship and preaching, visiting, working with schools and with children and youth, and being involved in the community. In the past I have been a school governor, been involved in the healing ministry, been a vocations chaplain and assistant Area Dean. I am married to Chris Wilkins and we love living in Sawley and being part of St Mary's and All Saints'.

The work of the PCC is carried out by a range of teams; if you would like to contact any of the teams or feel called to use you gifts working with one of them please get in touch

Samantha Dennis: Curate

I am a self-supporting minister. I have completed my  four years of curacy training and am about to be licenced as associate priest. I have worshipped at All Saints' all my life.  I work full-time for the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham as the Deputy Director of Education.

Pat Hassall_edited_edited.jpg

Pat Hassall: Churchwarden

I have been a member of the Christian Fellowship throughout my life. I grew up in Wallasey on the Wirral where I was confirmed by the Bishop of Chester. I moved to Nottingham to undertake my nurse training where I worshipped most weeks in the hospital chapels at the General, City and (once opened)  QMC hospitals. My faith has always been a great guide and comfort throughout my life especially when confronted with traumatic situations at work. As a chorister with Nottingham Hospitals Choir I have sung choral evensong in many beautiful places including Liverpool Anglican cathedral, Manchester cathedral, Southwell, Beverley and York Minsters, and for several years at The Royal Albert Hall participated in the annual performance of Handel's Messiah with the Malcom Sargent Cancer fund for children choir. I moved to Long Eaton after I married John and we were blessed with our two daughters and worshipped in several local churches but didn’t feel I was where God wanted me to be. In 2011 I came to All Saints' for a remembering service. Immediately I felt at home and this definitely was where I was meant to be, I attended an Alpha Course and subsequently reaffirmed my baptism vows. In 2014 after personal illness and a lot of soul searching and praying I ended my 36 year career in nursing, I put my trust in Jesus to guide me to the next chapter and with the support and knowledge that my family and church family were with me I applied for the new Local Foodbank managers position – I held this position serving the local community for 11 years retiring in May 2025 which coincided with the Church Warden position becoming vacant and now I am serving the Lord in yet another fulfilling way – I am truly blessed being a part of the All Saints Church family.

Pauline Porter: Churchwarden

I was born into a loving christian home and grew up in a village in North Staffordshire. We came to Long Eaton over 40 years ago when my husband moved to the area with his employment. I transferred to All Saints Sawley back in 2021, where we felt at home. I love the worship here, the people are friendly and helpful, the work they do to help others in the area is fantastic. It's a great place to be. I was elected churchwarden in 2023.

Paul Cavill: Reader

I have been a Reader for nearly thirty years, and have recently retired from my job as a university lecturer in English. I moved to Long Eaton in 2015 and found a spiritual home at All Saints’.

Christopher Wilkins (Chris): Reader
